教学目标
1.通过天气询问,教授有关天气的词汇发音和拼写以及“-How’s the weather -It’s sunny/cloudy/…”的句型;通过活动询问,复习现在进行时态。 2. 通过听取对话的关键信息,了解对话主要内容和细节,指向于培养学生的理解能力和整合关键信息的语言能力和思维品质。 3. 通过对听力材料的分析,引导学生就天气、即时活动进行电话交流。 4. 通过创设情境,引导学生运用所学进行对话的创编,指向于培养学生综合运用所学话语轮框架和语言以及语言策略进行交际的学习能力和语言能力。

教学过程
Step 1 Warming-up and lead-in Enjoy the music: How’s the weather Step 2 Presentation 1.(Show some weather symbols) Let students look at the weather symbols and ask them how the weather is. Students learn the new words and expressions with the help of the weather symbols. 2. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then Ask the students to match the words with the pictures. 3. Check the answers in pairs. Step 3 Listening Work on 1b. 1.(Show some pictures of cities) Let students look at the pictures and learn some city names. Students read the city names after the teacher. 2. Listen to four conversations. (1) Listen carefully, and write the city names in the chart. (2) Play the recording a second time. Ask students to write the weather in each city. (3) Check the answers in pairs. Work on 2a. 1. Let’s see what Linda’s family are doing Point to the 4 pictures. 2. Ask students to tell what each person is doing in each picture. More attention should be paid to the correct use of the Present Progressive Tense. 3. Play the recording for the students to listen and number the pictures [1-4]. 4. Check the answers in pairs. Work on 2b. 1. Ask students answer the question and match the names with the activities in 2b. 2. Check the answers. 3. Let students imitate the conversation. 4. Analyze the conversation. Step 4 Role-play 1. Ask students to read 2d quickly and answer the questions: (1) How is the weather (2)What’s Steve doing (3)What’s Rick’s brother doing (4) What does Steve want Rick to do Students read the conversation and answer the questions. Then check the answers together. 2. Let students imitate the conversation. Step 5 Let’s practice Students work in pairs. Make a new conversation. Step 6 Homework Must-do tasks: 1. Finish the exercise on the paper. 2. Read the conversations in 1b, 2a and 2d three times. Optional tasks: 1. Make up a new conversation and shoot a video. 2. Watch the weather report on TV tonight and shoot a video to introduce the weather of 5 cities you like.
