Step1 Lead-in: Watch a video and retell the story of Joe’s school trip T shows a video about the school trip of Joe and ask Ss about his trip, like the place and the activities. Then, ask Ss to retell his story according to the pictures. Ss watch the video to know about Joe’s school trip and retell his school trip in the simple past tense, according to the pictures. Begin the class Lead in to the topic of school trip in the simple past tense Lead in tip1-topic sentence
Step2 Pre-writing Complete 2 diary entries T asks Ss to answer the questions of Bob school trip, according to the pictures and finish the diary entry. Then, T asks Ss to finish the dairy entry of Linda. Ss observe and talk the pictures of Bob’s school trip according to the elements of the school trip. Then, Ss finish 2 diary entries and realize the function of pictures. Get to know the basic form of a diary entry. Get to know how to talk about a school trip
Thinking T asks Ss to read carefully again and think similarities and differences among 3 passages.
