一般过去时
1.概念:一般过去时表示过去某个时间发生的动作或存在的状态,
常和表示过去的时间状语连用。如:last year, yesterday等;
也可表示过去经常反复发生的动作,常和often, always等频度副词连用。
  
2.一般过去时的句式结构(实义动词)
肯定句:主语 + 动词的过去式 + 其他.
eg. He went to the toy store yesterday.
否定句:主语 + did not (didn’t) + 动词原形 + 其他.
eg. He didn’t go to the toy store yesterday.  
一般疑问句:Did + 主语 + 动词原形 + 其他?
eg. —Did you go to Beijing last week
—Yes, we did. (No, we didn’t.)
特殊疑问句:疑问词 + did + 主语+动词原形+其他?
eg. What did you do last night
谓语构成:
(1) 动词 be→was/were
(2) 情态动词 can→could等
(3) 助动词do, does→did
(4) 实义动词的过去式:规则性和不规则性
一般过去时以动词的过去式来表示,没有人称和数的变化.(was, were除外)
3.规则动词过去式的变化规则
不规则动词的过去式需特殊记忆。
如:am(is)-was, are-were, go-went, come-came, take-took, have (has)-had等。
一般过去时并不难,表示过去动作、状态记心间。
动词要用过去式,时间状语句末站。
否定句很简单,didn’t 站在动词原形前,其他部分不要变。
一般疑问句也好变,did放在句子前,主语、动词原形、其他部分依次站。
特殊疑问句也简单,疑问词加一般疑问句记心间。

miss v.意为“错过,思念”。
eg. Be quick or we'll miss the beginning of the show.

eg. After several misses, Julia caught the cat at last.

key points
end 用法小结:
(1)end 作名词,表示“终点”“末梢"“尽头”。
eg. We walked to the end of the road. 我们走到了路的尽头。
(2)表示“死”“死亡”。eg. You put an end to his life. 你断送了他的生命。
(3)end 作不及物动词,表示“结束"“结尾”“结局”。
(4)end 作及物动词,表示“结束”,后面接名词、代词作宾语。
(5)以end为中心词的介词短语:
① at the end of 表示"在……的尽头"“在……的末梢”时,后面接指地点的名词,构成
介词短语,作地点状语;表示“在……结束时”,后面接指事的名词,作时间状语。
② in the end 表示“最后”“终于”,是介词短语,作状语。
