（2）此句中的miss意为“错过”，miss是动词，还有“思念，想念”的意思。

另外，miss作名词，表示称谓，通常大写首字母，意为“小姐，女士”。
eg. Hello, Miss Wang.你好，王女士。
（3）fell是fall的过去式，意为“落下，跌倒"。常用的有以下短语：
①fall down 摔倒，强调的是“滑倒、倒下"，后接宾语时应加上介词from。
fall off 强调的是“跌落，从……掉下来”，后直接接宾语。
eg. The girl is falling off the bike. = The girl is falling down from the bike.
这个女孩从自行车上摔了下来。

② fall behind 落后，落在……后面。
eg. Study hard, or you'll fall behind the other students.

过去式跟原形一样：hurt。

【注】由反身代词+动词/介词构成的常见短语:
hurt oneself 伤到某人自己

（1）forget 意为“忘记”。过去式是forgot。
forget to do sth. 忘记做某事（还未做）
forget doing sth. 忘记做某事（已经做了）
eg. I forgot to close the door. 我忘记关门了。（没有关门）

（2）so是一个连词，表示“因此，所以，结果”等，与and, but, or一样用来连接并列句。但so引出的句子是前一句所叙述的事件导致的结果，而且不能与because连用。
eg. He studies hard, so he does well in English.
= He does well in English be ause he studies hard.
因为他学习努力，所以英语学得好。

（1）Don't be late. 此句为祈使句，表示劝告。一般来说回答用“Sorry, I won't.”。
祈使句表达说话人向对方叮嘱、劝告、请求或命令等，往往有表示请求、命令、
希望、禁止、劝告等意思。一般没有主语，实际上是省略了主语“You”。句末用感叹号或句号，用降调朗读。肯定结构都以动词原形开头。
祈使句的肯定句式有三种形式，即
① Do型（以行为动词原形开头） eg. Sit down 坐下！
② Be型（以be开头） eg. Be quick! 快点！
③ Let型（以let开头） eg. Let's go. 我们走吧。
祈使句的否定结构是以“Don't+动词原形”开头。 eg. Don't talk in class.
（2）late意为“晚的，迟的”，是形容词，用于修饰名词和代词。
此外，late还可以做副词，用于修饰动词。
eg. I'm sorry I'm late for school because I got up late this morning.
（前一个late是形容词修饰代词I; 后一个late是副词，修饰动词 get up)
