Shenzhen is widely regarded as one of the most livable cities in China, for humans of course.
Now the city is also becoming one of the most livable cities for dogs.
As more and more people become better-off and are in need of an animal to be their companion or help reduce their stress, the city has seen a surge in the number of pet owners over recent years.According to data from China Development Institute released in March last year,
Shenzhen had about 500,000 pet cats and dogs.
In many parts of the city, more dog parks are built to provide a special space for the dogs to play around and make friends. Some blocks set up “public toilets”for pets, while many provide dog poop( 粪 便 )collection boxes for owners to deal with their dogs'poop.Regular dog-keeping
training also helps owners to know their pets better.“Through the trainings, dog owners better
understand the habits of dogs, such as why they bark, and better understanding of dog behavior will reduce the chances of owners abandoning(遗弃)their dogs,”Yu Yongbo from Shenzhen Dog
Protection Association said.
More facilities also come with tighter rules for dogs.Early in November 2020,Shenzhen set up strict rules on dog-keeping,which require dog owners to leash(拴狗链)their pets while going out,and vaccinate( 接 种 疫 苗 )their dogs. When in an elevator, the owner should pull the dog

Think about a world without insects(昆虫) .It might sound nice at first. There would be no
flies in your room.61.
The number of insects is less and less, according to a British biologist Dave Goulson.“62.
”Goulson wrote.
Scientists say the main reason for this is the use of pesticide(杀虫剂) .They are bad for the

63. It's almost impossible to give an answer, but the results would be far-reaching. We need insects to pollinate crops (给庄稼授粉) .They also break down dead plants and animals and turn them into new useful things.64. Without insects, many animals would have nothing to eat. They would go hungry and die.As a result, the ecosystem would be off balance( 失

The first step to stop this is to let more people understand the values of the natural world. The
best place to start is with children.65.
