Turn on the blender.
turn on意为“打开”,反义词是turn off,意为“关掉”。(电源开关)
e.g:Please turn on the radio.
Don’t forget to turn off the light.
turn down (把音量)调小,调低
turn up (把音量)调大,调高
“开(关)门、窗、盒子”等用动词open和close。
e.g: It’s too dark.. Please turn on the light. 太黑了,请开灯吧。
Peel the bananas.
peel “剥,削(水果的皮)”,为及物动词,其后既可接名词、代词作宾语,也可接双宾语,即peel sb. sth. 或peel sth. for sb.,意为“给某人削(剥)果皮”。
Cut up the bananas.
cut up 意为“切碎”,其中up为副词。
E.g:cut up the apple 把苹果切碎
cut it(them) up 把它(它们)切碎
Pour the milk into the blender.
pour...into...表示“将……倒进……里面”,pour...out表示“把……倒出来”。
e.g:Please pour the water into the bowl.
Please pour the milk out.
How do you make a banana milk shake
make用作实义动词,表示“制作、做”,
make sb. sth.相当于make sth. for sb.“为某人制造某物”。
e.g:My mother often makes some fresh juice for us.
Next, put the beef, carrots and potatoes into a pot and add some water.
(1) put...into...表示“把……放进……里面去”,
e.g:He put that book into the box.
add用作及物动词,表示“增加、添加”,add...to...“把……添加到……上去”。
e.g:If you add six to one, you will get seven.
Then, add the cabbage, tomatoes and onion and cook for another 10 minutes.
“another+基数词+名词”表示“再/又……”,相当于“基数词+more+名词”。
e.g:They need another ten men to do the job.
=They need ten more men to do the job.
8. Finally, don’t forget to add some salt.
finally作副词,表示“最后、最终”,相当于at last或者in the end。
e.g:Finally they agreed with the plan.

1 祈使句定义
用于表达命令、请求、劝告、警告、禁止等的句子叫做祈使句。祈使句的动词都为一般现在时,句末则使用句号或感叹号。

2 可数名词和不可数名词
How many bananas do we need 我们需要多少香蕉?
How much sugar do we nee 我们需要多少糖?
· 基本用法
how many和how much都是用来提问数量的,不同的是how many 提问可数名词的数量,而how much 提问不可数名词的数量。
How many English story books do you have 你有多少本故事书?
How much juice do you need 你需要多少果汁?
不可数名词计量: 基数词/不定冠词+表示计量单位的名词+of...
e.g: a cup of tea. two cups of tea
a spoon of sugar five spoons of sugar
a bag of salt some bags of salt.

give thanks for sth.“因某事而表示感谢”,give thanks to sb.“对某人表示感谢”。

These days, most Americans still celebrate this idea of giving thanks by having a big meal at home with their family.
(1) by可以用来表示方式,意为“通过”,后接名词或者动名词短语。
E.g:He usually goes to work by bus.
The man makes a living by selling newspapers.
family指代家庭这个整体时,谓语动词用单数形式,指家庭成员时,谓语动词用复数形式。
E.g:Jim's family is small.
His family are discussing their holiday plan.

way表示“方法”时,a/one way to do sth 做某事的一种方法
a/one way of doing sth
E.g:Can you think out a way to open the door/of opening the door
First, mix together some bread pieces, onions, salt and pepper.
mix表示“混合”,常用的结构为:mix sth. and/with sth.“把……同……混合起来”。
E.g:First you should mix milk with eggs.
Next, fill the turkey with this bread mix.
fill...with...表示“用……装满……”,常用结构还有be filled with“装满、充满”,相当于be full of。
E.g:He filled the glass with water.
The schoolbag is filled with books.
Then, put the turkey in a hot oven and cook it for a few hours.
a few意为“一些”,修饰可数名词复数,表示肯定含义;few也修饰可数名词复数,但是表达否定含义。
E.g:There are a few students in the classroom.
Few people like mice.
When it is ready, place the turkey on a large plate and cover it with gravy.
place此处用作及物动词,意为“放置、安置”。
E.g:He placed the machine under the table.
(2) cover表示“覆盖”时,常用的结构为:cover...with...“用……覆盖……”。被动结构为:be covered with sth.“被……覆盖”。
E.g:The mother covered her daughter with a blanket at night.
The ground was usually covered with snow in winter.
Finally, serve it to your friends with some vegetables.
serve此处用作及物动词,意为“接待、服务、提供”,
常用的结构为:serve sth. to sb.或者serve sb. (with) sth.意为“用某物招待某人”。
E.g:The waiters are serving coffee to customers.
Then, cook it at a very high temperature for a long time.
temperature作名词,表示“温度”,at a high/low temperature“高温/低温”;take one’s temperature意为“量某人的体温”。
E.g:The workers work at a high temperature.
The nurse took my temperature just now.
To make this special food, you need to have rice noodles, chicken soup, chicken, lettuce and eggs.
句中的to make this special food是动词不定式结构,在句中作目的状语,可位于句首或者句尾。
E.g:To catch the bus, he got up early.
My parents came to New York to see me last month.

make sb./sth.+形容词 “使某人/某物怎么样”;make sb. do sth.“使某人做某事”
E.g:His parents made him stay at home.
The news made us excited.

It’s time to do sth.意为“该做某事了”,相当于It’s time for sth.。
E.g:It’s time for class.=It’s time to have class.

Hot Dry Noodles
We know that many people in Wuhan like eating hot dry noodles for breakfast because they’re really delicious. To make the special food, we need noodles, relish(作料), garlic ( 大蒜); ginger (姜) cucumber n. 黄瓜 salt, sauce(酱汁),sesame paste(芝麻酱). Here’s the recipe. First, wash the garlic and ginger and cut them up. Next, Mix the garlic flakes and the gingerflakes(碎末) with sauce and sesame paste . Then put the noodles into the boiling water(开水) and cook for 1 minute. After that,put the noodles and all the renish into a bowl. Finally, mix them up Now, it’s time to taste the beef noodles!
