Teaching procedures:
Step1: Lead in
Give students two sentences.
This is a textbook.
I borrowed the textbook from her.
This is the textbook which/that I borrowed from her.
Step2: Show students some pictures and they are required to fill the proper relative pronoun in each blank in the picture.
Students are familiar with these pictures, so they can take an active part in it.
Step3: Learn the structure of the attributive clause briefly and review the relative pronouns.
Step4: Summarize the rule together.
(1)When the antecedent refers to someone, we should use that/ who/whom/whose
(2)When the antecedent refers to something, we should use that/ which/whose
Step5: Join the two sentences using the attributive clause
(1)Give students two examples.
(2)Students are given some exercises to practise.
Step6: Finish Exercise 2 on Page29
Complete each sentence using that, which, who or whose.
Step7: Choose the correct answer.
Ask some students to finish this part one by one.
Step8: Complete the passage using relative pronouns.
Step9:Play a game
Show them an example and let them know what they should do.
Then give them a simple sentence and ask them to add extra and different information using attributive clause with relative pronouns
