介词on用以说明活动或状态。又如：
on business, on holiday等。
so…that 意为“如此……以致……”，引导结果状语从句。
此处动词不定式放在be动词之后作主语补语。
as well as 意为“除了……之外；也；还”，它的意思和not only … but also相似，往往连接两个并列的成分，但更强调前者。
large quantities of 意为“大量的”，后接可数名词的复数形式或不可数名词，相当于a large quantity of。
当as well as 连接两个主语时，谓语动词的形式由前一个主语决定，此时as well as 相当于together with。
