其副词为finally，相当于at last, in the end。
※ In the final exam, she made great progress.
在期末考试中，她取得了很大的进步。
※ After many discussions, the two boys finally made a plan.
经过多次讨论，两个男孩终于制定了一个计划。

【辨析】final与last
二者都可意为“最后的”，有时可以互换。区别如下：
final强调结果，表示以此作为结束或到达终点，不表示顺序上的最后。
last主要指顺序、时间、位置等的最后，暗示其后没有其他的人或物。
2. exam n. 考试，检查
【常用短语】 take exams/an exam 参加考试
※ Lucy will take an English exam tomorrow.
露西明天要参加英语考试。
3. be sure 确定，确信
be sure后面跟 that 从句作宾语，其中that 可省略。
※ We are sure that we’ll be successful in the end. 我们确信我们最终将成功。
【拓展】sure 的其他用法：
（1）be sure to do sth. 一定/肯定做某事，sure后接不定式往往表示说话人的推测、评论，主语不一定是人。
※ We are sure to have great fun. 我们一定会玩得很开心。
（2）be sure of/about＋名词/代词/动名词，意为“确信，对……有把握”，表示对客观事物有肯定的认识和判断，主语必须是人。
※ They are sure of winning the match. 他们确信会赢得这场比赛。
4. plan n.[C] 计划
其复数形式为plans。
※ Do you have any plans for tomorrow 你明天有什么计划吗？
【拓展 】plan 还可以作动词，意为“计划”。
常用短语：plan to do sth. 计划做某事
※ We plan to have a birthday party at home this weekend.
我们计划这周末在家办一个生日派对。
5. look forward to (doing) sth. 期待……，盼望……
后面接名词、代词或动名词。
※ I am looking forward to your reply.
我期待着你的回复。
※ I'm looking forward to spending a happy summer vacation.
我期待着度过一个愉快的暑假。
6. How about you, Jenny 你呢，詹妮？
“How about…？”相当于“What about…？”，常用来引起一个问句，表示提出建议和请求，征求意见或询问消息，意为“……好不好？……怎么样？”，后可接名词、代词或动名词。
※How about the London Eye 伦敦眼怎么样？
※How about giving each of them a thank-you card
