Pros Cons
Doing chores helps to develop children’s independence. Housework is a waste of children’s time.
It teaches children to look after themselves and also helps them to understand the idea of fairness.
When children get older, they will have to do housework so there is no need for them to do it now. It’s the parents’ job to provide a clean and comfortable environment at home for their children.

【辨析】
②in order to意为“为了……，目的是，以便……”，后接动词原形，表示目的，可位于句首，也可位于句中，它的否定形式为in order not to。
