My favorite thing is a chess set. It's my birthday gift. I’ve kept it for eight
years. When I was seven years old, my father bought it for me as my
birthday gift. From then on, he always played chess with me, and he also
taught me many useful lessons while we played chess, such as being pa-
tient and thinking twice before taking action.
Now I'm a middle school student. Though I spend little time playing
chess, I never forget his words.
This chess set is my favorite thing from my childhood. It shows my father's
love for me.
