1. It was sunny and hot, so we decided to go to the beach near our hotel. 天气晴朗并且炎热，因此我们决定去宾馆附近的海滩。
(1) so 作连词，意为“因此；那么”，用来连接两个具有因果关系的 句子，不能与 because 同时出现在一个句子中。
【例】 I got up late, so I took a taxi to school.
我起床晚了，因此我乘出租车去学校。
【例】She decided to live in London. 她决定住在伦敦。
2. My sister and I tried paragliding.
姐姐和我尝试了滑翔伞运动。
try 在此处作动词，意为“尝试；设法；努力”，后可接名词、动名词或动词不定式。
(2) decide 作动词，意为“决定；选定”。常见用法有：
【例】He tried to solve the problem. 他设法解决这个问题。
【例】 He tried solving the problem. 他试着去解决这个问题。
3. I felt like I was a bird. 我感觉自己就像一只鸟。
feel like 在句中意为“给……的感觉；感受到”，其后常接名词或从句。
【例】 This new man-made material feels like real leather.
这种新型人造材料摸起来像真皮一样。
4. I wonder what life was like here in the past.
我很想知道过去这里的生活是什么样的。
wonder 后接一个 what 引导的宾语从句，从句用陈述语序
(2)wonder 作动词，意为“想知道；琢磨”，后接 who, what, how 以及 if/whether 等引导的宾语从句。
【例】 I wonder how James is going on. 我想知道詹姆斯的近况。
5. I really enjoyed walking around the town. 我很喜欢沿着城镇散步。
enjoy doing sth. 意为“喜欢做某事”。enjoy 作及物动词，意为“喜欢；享
受……的乐趣”，后常接名词、代词或动名词形式。
enjoy oneself 意为“玩得开心；玩得高兴”，与 have a good time 同义。
【例】 I hope you can enjoy yourself in the party. 我希望你在派对上玩得开心。
(3) walk around 意为“到处走走”，around 在此作介词，表示“到处”。
【例】 My parents like walking around the playground after dinner.
我父母喜欢晚饭后在操场到处走走。
