Dear Tom,
How are you today I'm writing to share with you the informationabout the speech given on Friday afternoon.
Professor Li, a famous expert on earthquakes(地震专家), delivered the speech(发表演讲) on how to survive in an earthquake(在地震中生存) in the school hall. The most important is to stay calm in an emergency(在紧急情况时保持镇静) . If trapped(被困) indoors , it's better to find a protecting shelter(避难所) like a strong table or other furniture. lfoutdoors, evacuate(撤离) into the open air(露天) where falling objects are unlikelyto strike(击打) us. It's from his speech that we've realized that knowing howto behave when an earthquake strikes will greatly improve the chance to survive.
In summary(总之), the speech is of great importance to us and all of us need to know what to
do during an earthquake.
Yours ,
Li Hua
