Dear Mr. Green,
Doing voluntary work has become more and more important in our society. I’m glad that our school will hold the voluntary work on April 30th, and I’m writing to present my preference and the activity plan.
I think visiting the Old People’s home is a great choice, because it is a traditional virtue in China to respect elderly people who have knowledge and experience that young people can learn from. Besides, to respect the elderly is to respect ourselves future.
Here is the detailed plan. First of all, we will gather at the school gate at 8 am and take a bus there. Then, we can sweep the floor and clean the windows for them, and it can provide them with a more comfortable living environment. Finally, we will read books and sing songs for the elderly, so that we can not only spend time with them, but also bring happiness to them. At 5pm, we will return to school by bus.
