Good afternoon, everyone. I’m going to tell you a story named Staying by a Stump Waiting for More Hares.
Once upon a time, a farmer worked hard in the fields every day. One day, while he was working, he saw a hare. The hare ran so quickly that its head hit a stump. And it died. The farmer picked up the dead hare and took it home happily. From that day on, he gave up farming. He threw away his hoe and stayed by the tree, waiting for hares to come again. But he never saw another hare. Finally he realized his mistake and went back to work in his fields, but the whole crops were dead.
The story reminds us that “No pain, no gain.” Only through hard work can we get success.
