1. What’s this in English 这个用英语怎么说？ 1）此句用来询问“某物用英语怎么说？”， “What’s this ”是用来询问“某物是什么？”的句子，what’s是what is的简略形式。常用回答为“It’s a/an...”，注意不能用“This is...”。
Language points
2）this 为指示代词，意为“这；这个”，指近处或距说话人近的人或事物。其对应词为that，意为“那；那个”，指远处或距说话人远的人或事物。注意This is不能缩写为This’s。
3）in English意为“用英语”。in为介词，意为“用；以”，“in+语言”表示“使用某种语言”；English此处作不可数名词，意为“英语”。English还可作形容词，意为“英格兰的；英语的”。English首字母永远大写。
2. It’s an orange. 它是一个橙子。
1）“It’s a/an...”用于回答“What’s it/this/that... ”
句型。其中，it’s是it is的简略形式。
2）it意为“它”，用于代替第三人称单数可数名词。
3）a/an为不定冠词，意为“一（人、事、物）”。a用在发音以辅音音素开头的单词前，而an用在以发音以元音音素开头的单词前。这里的元音音素和辅音音素是指读音，而不是指字母。例如：

an apple /' pl/ 一个苹果 / /为元音音素
