通过本课的学习,学生能够达成以下目标: 语言能力: 1.掌握although, until,so that引导状语从句的语法结构和语用功能。 2.能正确使用情态动词could, should以及Why don't you… 等句型表达建议。 学习能力: 1.能熟练使用询问困难和表达建议的句型。 2.利用英语解决生活中的实际问题,学会自主探究,团队合作,提高学习效率。 思维品质 1.懂得沟通的重要性。遇到问题要主动地去和家人,朋友和同学交流。 2.学生能通过语法操练后进行语言输出,使用目标语言准确提出问题,并给出个人建议。 文化意识 通过自由讨论和角色扮演环节来提高学生的口语交际能力,培养辩证思维能力,从而帮助学生树立正确的价值观。理性面对和解决生活中的冲突和矛盾。
教学内容
教学重点: 1.复习巩固Section A 部分所学的生词和词组,达到熟练运用的目标。 2.掌握建议句型和三个连词“so that”“although”“until”的用法,提高句子表达和语言组织的能力。熟练掌握和运用询问困难和提建议的表达方式。
教学难点: 学生能清楚准确地用目标语言描述他人问题,并提出相应解决问题的建议。
教学过程
Step 1 Warming up and lead-in Greeting. Review what we have learned before. Show the picture of Amy, in the meanwhile, ask Ss to answer following questions. How does Amy feel (2) If you want to know why she is so sad How can you ask (3) Can you ask in another way Summarize the ways of asking problems. Can you guess what problems does Amy have Can you give Amy some advice What kind of sentence can you use Summarize the ways of asking problems. Please give Amy some useful advice. Step 2 Presentation Show the sentence patterns of grammar focus: You look tired. What’s the matter I studied until midnight last night so I didn’t get enough sleep.What should I do Why don’t you forget about it Although she’s wrong, it’s not a big deal.What should he do He should talk to his friend so that he can say he’s sorry.Maybe you could go to his house.I guess I could, but I don’t want to surprise him.
Task 1 Read the three sentences loudly and find out conjunctions(连词): until, although, so that. And learn the usages of this words. Task 2 Fill in the blanks with although, so that or until. Task 3 Ask Ss to read and underline the sentences about asking problems. Task 4 Ask Ss to read and underline the sentences about giving advice. Task 5 Ask Ss to read and underline the sentences about giving response. Do a summary: How to ask problems, how to give advice (have showed in Step 1) and how to give response. Step 3 Practice Task 6 Write advice for each problem. Then share your advice with the whole class. Task 7 Choose one of the problems and ask your classmates for advice. Decide which classmate has the best advice. Step 4 Production Role-play: Ask Ss to work in groups and make conversations about problems on the paper and give advice, then act your conversations.
