Step1 Greeting
T: Good morning, boys and girls.

Step 2 Leading-in
T: At first, let me introduce three persons to you.Look, the first one is coming.
S1: I’m Bob. Hey , where is the bank
T: I don’t know.
S2:I’m Tom. Can you tell me where the bank is
T: It’s over there.
S3:I’m Lucy. Could you tell me where the bank is
T:(smile) It’s over there.
T:We can know a person from her or his words. So if I ask you to choose one person to be your friend, who will you choose

T: From your answer , I know most of you like to choose Tom. Right Can you tell me why

T: Yeah, because Tom is a polite person . We all like to make friends with polite people.
So today we’ll learn how to ask for information politely .
Step3 Presentation
T: Please look at the screen, look, Bob is rude,he is impolite. Look at this sentence: Can you tell me where the bank is We can use like this. But if we want to be more polite , we’d better use “Could you/ Could you please--”

T: We can get some money at a bank. Now everybody , please take out your English book and turn to page 17.Please look at part 1a.( read the request)At first , please read these phrases together. Ss: (Read together).

T: Look. I’m here now. Could you please tell me how to get to Shengyuan Supermarket
T and Ss: Go straight. The Shengyuan Supermarket is on my left.
T:Look. I’m here now. Could you tell me how to go to Yangyang Business
T and Ss:Turn left and go along Wucheng Road. Yangyang Business is on my right.
T:Now I want to go to Xinhua Bookstore.
T and Ss: Turn right and go past the Post Office. The bookstore is on my left.
T: We can also use pass , go by or walk by.

T: Ok, everybody , please take out your paper, look at listening one. Listen and choose the right answer. I will give you one minute to prepare for the listening, ok
