In 2020, Brazilian climber Femanda Maciel climbed the Gran Paradiso Mountain(大天堂山) without a rope. She reached its top in only two hours and 40 minutes. In doing so, she set a new women’s record for the fastest ever climb of this mountain. She climbed dangerous mountains to focus on climate change.
Maciel has climbed quite a few mountains. Many of these mountains can be very dangerous for climbers. She hurt her eyes in an accident in one mountain three years ago. One of her friends died in the same mountain just last year.
