教学过程
Step1. Lead in Students watch a video about animals in the wild. Students think and answer: Which country or continent can they remind you of Step2. Learn to describe facts. Students try to describe this panda according to the facts on the information card. When standing on two legs, a panda is 150 cm tall. A panda weighs 100 kilos. A panda eats 10 kilos of food a day. Step3. Learn to compare. ①With the teacher’s help, students uses comparatives to compare a panda with an elephant:The elephant weighs much/ a lot/ many times more than the panda. ②Students try to use comparatives to compare more facts about the two animals. Step4. Guess about baby pandas. Students imagine and describe what a baby panda looks like with the help of these questions: Is it also black and white How tall is it How heavy is it How much food does a baby panda eat you can try to compare it with an adult panda. Is it a little shorter or much shorter than an adult panda Does it weigh many times less or a little less than an adult panda Step5.
