教学目标
1. Students can master some new words and phrases such as German, theme, ride, province, a couple of. 2. Students can master present perfect tense with“have been to”, “have gone to”and“have been in”. 3.Students can tell the difference between simple present tense and present perfect tense, and use them in right situations. 4. Students can use present perfect tense to introduce a fun place in an attractive and interesting way. 5. Students can learn to record and enjoy lives.
教学内容
教学重点: Students can compare present perfect tense to simple present tense.
2. Students can use present perfect tense to introduce a fun place they have been to.
教学难点: 1. Students can learn present perfect tense with “have been to”, “have gone to”and“have been in”. 2. Students can use present perfect tense to introduce one place in an attractive and interesting way.
教学过程
Step 1: Lead-in Activity 1: Show some conversations about fun places among the Class 5, Grade 8 students (materials in Grammar Focus), and ask students one question-- what kind of tense do they use Step 2: Presentation Activity 2: Present the use of present perfect tense and two important points about it. Ask students to find “have/has been to” and underline them, find adverbials and circle them in Grammar Focus. Ask students to think about two questions: what does “have/has been to” mean and when do we use it Activity 3: Present the difference between “have/has been to” and “have/has gone to”.Ask students to finish some exercises and translations. Activity 4: Ask students to check all the adverbials of the present perfect tense in the list. Step 3: Practice Activity 5: Finish 4a--put the correct forms of the verbs in the blanks.Check and show some language points. Activity 6: Finish 4c. First add more questions in the form, and answer the survey questions and then ask their partners. Step 4: Presentation Activity 7: Show students another fun place--Disneyland. Ask students to think about one question-- what can we do in Disneyland And then show a video about Disney Cruise and introduce it to students. Activity 8:Finish 4b. First fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the verbs in brackets. Check and show some language points. Ask students to read the passage. Activity 8: Analyze the passage of 4b. 1.Ask students what the type of the passage is. 2.Ask them to find all the present perfect tense and simple present tense in the passage and think about their difference. Present the difference between the two tenses. 3.Ask them to read the passage and recall the two tips and then try to remember as much as they can. Activity 9: Retell the passage according to a mind map. And then ask students to add a comment at the end of the passage. Show some good comments. Activity 10: Critical Thinking Why does Lily write this passage The purpose it to record and enjoy her life. Step 5: Production Activity 10: Share Students share fun places they have been to according to the following requirements. Homework: Must to do: Finish the worksheet. Choose to do:Write an introduction of a place you have been to and share it with your classmates.
