教学内容
教学重点: Master the main idea and detailed information of three museums. New words and important phrases in the passage, like: invented, progress, rapid Understand the meaning of building museums.
教学难点: 1. Use the language and knowledge they’ve learned in real speaking.
2. Talk about other museums according to the passage by themselves and have a cultural confidence.
教学过程
Step 1: Lead-in Activity 1: Free talk Guess the day of 5.18 and ask Ss if they have been to any interesting museums. Step 2: Pre-reading Activity 1: Read and find the type of the passage Read and analyze the features of the magazine article. Activity 2: Let’s Predict Predict what are these three museums about and the names of them according t to the pictures. Step 3: While-reading Activity 1:Let’s check Read and find the names of three museums. Activity 2: Scanning (1)American Computer Museum: 1. Read and find where is it and how is the museum. 2. Read and finish T/F Analyze the meaning of the word: unbelievable, progressed, rapid 3.Read and find the structure of the passage The International Museum of Toilets Read and finish the mind map according to the tip: Read for key words Read and think the meaning od building the museum. Hangzhou National Tea Museum Read and finish the mind map by themselves. Step 3: Post-reading Activity 1: Critical Thinking Q: Why we build so many museums around the world Activity 2: Introduce the museum they like best in the passage. t Activity 3: Group work Write a passage about interesting museums they’ve been and send it to the m magazine. Homework: 1. Polish your passage according to magazine article and send it to travel m magazine to spread culture. Choose to do: Write a magazine article to introduce more places to spread Chinese culture.
