2. afraid 的用法

【探究】afraid作形容词,意为“害怕的;担心的”,常作表语,常见搭配有:
(1) be afraid of sth. 害怕某物。
(2)be afraid of doing sth.担心会发生某事或某情况(但实际上未必会发生);害怕做某事或不敢做某事(指缺乏勇气或害怕其后果而不敢做某事)。
