1. 理解状语从句的定义和分类(时间、地点、原因、条件、目的、结果、让步、比较、方式等状语从句),弄清每一种状语从句的连词或词组,同时关注条件状语从句的时态 。 2. 理解动词不定式的定义和句法功能,能在句中辨别作主语、表语、宾语、补足语、定语、状语成分。 3.能使用状语从句和动词不定式表达英语学习的方法。
课前学习任务
预习状语从句的用法。 状语从句 定义:在复合句中修饰主句中的动词、 形容词或副词等的句子称为状语从句。 分类:有时间、地点、原因、条件、目的、结果、让步、比较、方式等状语从句。 类别连接词(组)时间状语从句when, while, as, before, after, until, as soon as条件状语从句if, unless, as long as地点状语从句where原因状语从句because, since, as比较状语从句than, as目的状语从句so that, in order that结果状语从句so that, so/such… that…让步状语从句although, though, even if/though, wh-ever方式状语从句as, as if/as though
条件状语从句的时态 在含有条件状语从句的复合句中,如果主句的时态是一般将来时,从句时态一般用一般现在时;如果主句含有情态动词should, can, must等,从句也常用一般现在时;如果主句为祈使句,从句也用一般现在时。 2. 预习动词不定式的用法。
动词不定式 定义:在句中起名词、形容词或副词作用的非谓语动词形式。无人称和数的限制。 句法功能:在句中可作主语、表语、宾语、补足语、定语、状语成分。 ①作主语 To learn English well is not easy./It’s not easy to learn English well. ②作表语 His dream is to be a pilot. ③作宾语 want to do, learn to do, plan to do, refuse to do,agree to do... ④作补足语 tell sb. to do, ask sb. to do, encourage sb. to do, invite sb. to do ... ⑤作定语 something to drink, a good place to visit, ⑥作状语(目的、结果、原因) He got up early to catch the first bus./I’m sorry to hear that. 动词不定式可以和what/where/when/how/which等疑问词连用,在句中充当某种成分。 I don’t know how to repair my computer. 使役动词make/let/have及感官动词see/hear/watch/notice等后接不带to的动词不定式作宾语补足语。The boss made them work 12 hours a day./I often see him help the old man.
