During the Spring Festival, many people visit Chaoshan, Guangdong, to watch Yingge dance. The dance connects (结合) dance, opera with kung fu.
The dance gets ideas from the characters (人物) of the classic novel Outlaws of the Marsh (《水浒传》), such as LiKui, Lin Chong and Song Jiang. The dance has a history of about 300 years and tells stories of good people winning.
Performers (表演者) wear opera clothes and hold short sticks in their hands. They dance and hit the sticks together. The dance is exciting and rocks the streets, making people excited.
In Chaoshan, people of all ages love Yingge dance. In the past, only men could perform this dance, but now women can do it too. Women's Yingge dance comes from the stories of Mu Guiying and Hua Mulan.

The Wicked (邪恶的) Witch of the West asked the Winged Monkeys to break (毁坏) the Tin Woodman and the Scarecrow and tie (绑) the Lion with rope. The witch was afraid of the kiss mark on Dorothy's forehead and the magic (有魔力的) silver shoes on her feet.
The Wicked Witch made Dorothy cut wood for the fire and do all the work in the castle (城堡). She also tried to make the Lion pull her coach (四轮大马车), but he shouted at her. So she said, “If you do not do what I say, I shall not give you any food, and you will die. ”
The Lion said nothing. He did not pull the coach, but he did not die because Dorothy brought him food every night.
Dorothy had to work long hours, and she was very sad. Even Toto was sad because he saw Dorothy cry.
As for the Wicked Witch, she planned to take away Dorothy's magic shoes.
The problem was that she was too afraid of the dark to go into Dorothy's room at night. She was also afraid of water, so she never came near Dorothy when she was washing. One day, however, she had a plan. She put a piece of metal (金属) in the middle of the room. Then, using magic, she made the metal invisible (看不见的). When Dorothy came into the room, she did not see the metal and fell over it. The Wicked Witch ran up and pulled off one of the shoes at once.
Dorothy was very angry. “Give my shoe back to me!” she said.
“Never,” the Wicked Witch said. “And now, I have half of your power (魔力).”
Dorothy was so angry that she picked up a bucket (桶) of water near the door and poured the water over the Wicked Witch.

The Wicked (邪恶的) Witch of the West asked the Winged Monkeys to break (毁坏) the Tin Woodman and the Scarecrow and tie (绑) the Lion with rope. The witch was afraid of the kiss mark on Dorothy's forehead and the magic (有魔力的) silver shoes on her feet.
The Wicked Witch made Dorothy cut wood for the fire and do all the work in the castle (城堡). She also tried to make the Lion pull her coach (四轮大马车), but he shouted at her. So she said, “If you do not do what I say, I shall not give you any food, and you will die. ”
The Lion said nothing. He did not pull the coach, but he did not die because Dorothy brought him food every night.
Dorothy had to work long hours, and she was very sad. Even Toto was sad because he saw Dorothy cry.
As for the Wicked Witch, she planned to take away Dorothy's magic shoes.
The problem was that she was too afraid of the dark to go into Dorothy's room at night. She was also afraid of water, so she never came near Dorothy when she was washing. One day, however, she had a plan. She put a piece of metal (金属) in the middle of the room. Then, using magic, she made the metal invisible (看不见的). When Dorothy came into the room, she did not see the metal and fell over it. The Wicked Witch ran up and pulled off one of the shoes at once.
Dorothy was very angry. “Give my shoe back to me!” she said.
“Never,” the Wicked Witch said. “And now, I have half of your power (魔力).”
Dorothy was so angry that she picked up a bucket (桶) of water near the door and poured the water over the Wicked Witch.
