It plays an important role in the English textbook of Grade Nine. It is on the eighth unit of linking words learning and reading passage to learn. Therefore, this lesson plays an important part . 2. This is the fourth period of unit 8. If the Ss can learn it well, it will be helpful to make the Ss master the importance of unit8.Students’ Analysis The Ss have learned English for about three years so far. They can speak English very well. They have taken a great interest in English now. Especially talking about mysteries. They will be very excited. Training students' logical thinking, quick response ability and practical ability in the continuous reading and writing activities. 1.Knowlege Objects2. Ability Objects3.Moral Objects1.To understand the passage about the Stonehenge.
2.To know the way of writing about what strange things happened and how things were solved.

Introduce linking words to Ss and prepare them for the following reading activity.
Ask Ss to imagine a time when linking words didn’t exist. What do they think might happen? What would conversations sound like? Get them to discuss this in small groups of three or four and make a list. Get each group to share one item from their list and discuss it.
