Every year on October 4 the world comes together for animals everywhere. This is World Animal Day:
It started in 1931 in Florence, Italy when ecologists banded together to raise awareness of endangered species, Since then, the yearly event has been used as a means of connecting “animal welfare (福利) organizations, youth clubs, business, community groups, and individuals...” to raise awareness for their work and fund raise in support of causes ranging from care of working animals to protection of endangered tigers and habitat loss.
