Ferdinand Magellan (1480-1521) was a Portuguese explorer who sailed west from Spain across the Atlantic and Pacific oceans in search of a westward route to the Spice Islands (now part of Indonesia).
斐迪南·麦哲伦(全名费尔南多·德·麦哲伦,英语:Ferdinand Magellan,1480年-1521年),葡萄牙探险家、航海家、殖民者,为西班牙政府效力探险。
于1519年-1522年9月,率领船队完成环球航行,麦哲伦在环球途中在菲律宾死于部落冲突中。船队在他死后继续向西航行,回到欧洲,并完成了人类首次环球航行。

Vasco da Gama (1460-1524) was a Portuguese explorer and the first European to reach India by sea. His initial journey to India opened up the sea route from Western Europe to the east by way of the Cape of Good Hope.

(1451-1506) was an Italian explorer who completed journeys between Spain and the Americas, thus marking the beginning of European exploration of the Americas.

The first voyage started in Yongle three years (1405), and the last voyage ended in Xuande eight years (1433), totaling seven times. Zheng He's voyage to the west is the largest and longest sailing voyage in China in ancient times.

Xu Xiake(1587—1641), was a Chinese travel writer and geographer of the Ming Dynasty known best for his famous geographical diaries noted for his bravery and humility(谦逊). He traveled throughout China for more than 30 years, documenting his travels which would be compiled into the "The Travel Diaries Xu Xiake". Xu's writing used narrative and prose(散文)styles of writing to portray one's travel experiences.
