语篇研读 What: 本单元的主要教学内容是以“The city of music”为题，介绍了音乐之都维也纳及奥地利作家施特劳斯父子和莫扎特。 How: 通过介绍西方古典音乐及其音乐家，帮助学生开阔视野，让学生了解西方文化，引导学生更多了解中国音乐和音乐家。 Why: 本文采用了“总述—分述”的结构，先介绍了维也纳的音乐地位，又介绍了其代表人物，语句精炼、自然、优美，结构紧凑，逻辑性强。
学情 分析 本模块Unit 1的学习过程中学生对西方音乐的常识已经有所了解：通过第一单元的听说训练，学生已经了解本单元的主题，并熟读了相关单词和句型，学生对音乐之都维也纳有一定的了解；就音乐家而言，学生对莫扎特比较熟悉，为本单元的学习打下了基础；大部分学生对施特劳父子不太了解，通过第一单元的学习初步了解这对父子，通过本单元学习，将进一步了解这两位音乐家；通过这节课的学习，学生们能根据自己仿照本单元所学，书写一段文字介绍中国的音乐和音乐家。
