First, get the students to make their own conversations.
Then, ask some pairs to act it out.
Finally, let them work in groups of four, sum up how to make, accept and turn down the invitations.
T: Now you know how to accept and turn down an invitation, there are some invitations (in Self-check 2), but you can’t go. Please write a refusal and a reason.
Get the students finish this part by themselves.

2.充分利用多媒体课件、投影仪的作用,引导学生进入预设情景,展开丰富的想象。写后利用投影仪和学生一起评价作文,并展示优秀作文,调动了学生写作的积极性。
3.给予学生写作策略的指导,降低学生的写作难度。
不足:
1.少数同学预习不够充分。
2.对于程度较弱的同学很难写出一篇完整的文章,看来以后再讲本节课时,在写作前要对写作时所用到的一般将来时的句型先做语言操练。
3.在23班上课时,复习环节用的时间有些长,加之学生预习的不是很好,所以没讲完。在24班上课时,把时间做了一下调整。由于本节课是两篇作文,容量较大,所以采访环节,让学生课下先完成了自己要填的表格,上课直接让学生根据表格进行采访,整节课比较顺畅。Interview环节,设计成了选做题,老师们可以根据实际情况选用。
教学建议:
1.课前要让学生做好充分的预习,这样本节课才会很顺畅。
2.复习环节内容比较简单,在此环节要把握好时间,否则会前松后紧。
3.复习完如何向别人发出邀请以及接受、拒绝邀请后,一定要学生自己先总结如何发出、接受、拒绝别人的邀请,然后老师再进行系统总结。

Step I: Learn to read the words and phrases on P129-130.
1. Ask the students to read the words and phrases by themselves using the phonetics and underline the difficult words that they can’t pronounce, such as available, invitation, reply, forward, preparation, without, surprised, concert, calendar

Step III: Consolidate the words and phrases
Ask the students to read the words and phrases and their Chinese on P129-130. Cover the English words and phrases , look at the Chinese and say the English for them. Write down the words they haven’t grasped.

Step IV : Read the passage and translate it into Chinese
1. Ask the students to read the passage silently, and underline the new words and phrases.
Mr Black is American. He is our English teacher. He is leaving soon back to America. To show how we’re going to miss him. We want to have a surprise party for him the day after tomorrow. He looks forward to hearing from us all. We are sad to see him go, and this party is the best way to say “Thank you and goodbye”.
But I’m not available. My family is taking a trip to Beijing at the end of this month to visit my aunt and uncle. However , I’d still be glad to help out with any of the party preparations.
