Recently we have had a heated discussion on whether people should keep pets at home in cities.
Some students think pets can cause environmental pollution and that pets are so noisy that they stop people from sleeping well. A small number of pets even attack people.
While some other students believe human beings can live in harmony with animals and that they bring us lots of happiness. Keeping pets also helps us become more responsible.
In my opinion， it’s a good idea to keep pets. First， a pet is a good friend to us. What’s more， pets can help keep our homes safe. For example， a dog can warn us of something dangerous by barking.
