一、whether或if引导的宾语从句
1. whether/if 引导宾语从句时, 意为“是否”, 表示不确定的概念, 常位于ask, see, know, wonder(想知道), find out,doubt(怀疑)等词或短语的后面,whether/if在句中不能省略。
e.g. Nobody knows whether/if it will rain tomorrow.
没有人知道明天是否会下雨。

(1)从句后有 or not ,只用whether。
e.g. The teacher asks me whether I have finished my homework or not. 老师问我是否已经完成作业了。
(2)从句前有介词,只用whether。
e.g. My parents are talking about whether we will go to Hong Kong for travelling. 父母正在讨论是否去香港旅游。

二、特殊疑问词引导的宾语从句
1. 当表示“什么时间/地点/方式/原因”等疑问时,要用特殊疑问(what/where/when/why...)引导宾语从句。疑问词在句中充当一定的成分, 不可省略。
e.g. Whose bike is this Does anybody know

宾语从句要用陈述语序(主谓宾),所以从句中的主语之前不可有be动词(am/is/are)、情态动词(can/will/may/must)或助动词(do/does/did/have/has/had)等。

从句若表“是否”时,if / whether要慎记。
特殊问句作宾语,仍用原来疑问词。
