单元主题分析:本单元是八下Unit 5第二课时,本单元的话题是难忘的事,功能是谈论过去的事件,讲故事,学会使用过去进行时以及when、while引导的时间状语是重点内容。 课时语篇分析:3a阅读的主题是讲述暴风雨来临之前、之时和之后发生的事情,通过暴风雨事件培养学生在困难面前互帮互助的品质。
教学目标
一、语言知识目标 (1)能听、说、读、写下列单词和短语。 (2) 能熟练掌握和运用过去进行时的句型。 二、思维品质目标 通过阅读训练,学会运用过去进行时,谈论过去某个时刻或某段时间正在发生的事情。 三、学习能力目标 (1)通过阅读语篇掌握略读、跳读、细读等阅读技巧。 (2) 通过小组讨论来培养合作学习的意识。 四、文化意识目标 通过本课的学习,培养学生在困难面前互帮互助的优良品质。
教学内容
教学重点: 能正确运用过去进行时,叙述过去某个时刻或某段时间正在发生的事情。 学会分析文本结构,掌握略读、跳读、细读等阅读技巧。
教学难点:能正确运用过去进行时,叙述过去某个时刻或某段时间正在发生的事情。
教学过程
Step 1:Lead-in Activity 1:Watch and say What happened in the video (A rainstorm hit the neighborhood.) Did you experience or hear of a storm in the past? What should we prepare before a rainstorm (flashlights, matches, lighters, candles, food, water) 【Intention】Students can think about the situations and preparations of a storm. Step 2:Pre-Reading Activity 2:Background information Ben, a boy from Alabama, went through a rainstorm. Let’s read the passage and learn more about the rainstorm and his experience. Alabama: in the southeast of the United States. There are often tornadoes, hurricanes and rainstorms in March and April every year. 【Intention】Students can get some background information and imagine the situation according to the video. Activity 3:Prediction Look at the picture and the title and make predictions:What can you see in the photo What happened Step 3:While-reading Activity 4:Read for gist Q1:What is the main idea of each paragraph Q2:How many parts are in the article Analyze the structure of the passage. before the storm during the storm after the storm Q3:In which order does the writer write this passage In time order. B. In spatial(空间) order. 【Intention】 Students can get the main idea of the passage the structure of the passage. Activity 5:Read for details before the storm :Read paragraph 1 & 2 and finish the mind map. during the storm:Read paragraph 3 and choose the right answers. after the storm:Read paragraph 4 and answer the questions. 1. What was the neighborhood like after the storm 2. What did Ben’s family do after the rainstorm 3. What did the writer think of the rainstorm 【Intention】Students read the passage one paragraph by one paragraph and finish the tasks through reading skills.
