Sample answer
Dear headmaster,
First of all, thank you for taking me into this pretty school. Now, I am writing to tell you that I want to start a new school club, which is called the 'Short Story Writing Club'. Therefore, I will be its leader. And the members of this club will meet each other every Saturday afternoon as a result of our school timetable. The reason why I would like to have this club is that I like reading Mr. Paul's stories, and I want to be a good story-writer just like him. Moreover, I want all of us to improve short story writing skills. Therefore, we will do some meaningful things during the club time, such as reading short stories in different styles, writing short stories using different techniques, and so on. It is very easy to carry out the activities because we only need paper and pen for each student. Besides,
there are many students in my class who also like Mr. Paul's stories, so you don't need to worry about whether this club will attract enough new members or not. I just need to make posters and put them up around the school. Then the students will see them.
Well, this is all that I want to share with you, and I am looking forward to your agreement.
Love From
Maggie Zhang
