--Review Attributive Clause
一、教学目标
在本课学习结束时,学生能够:
1. 更牢固地掌握定语从句的语法规则,尤其是区别关系代词和关系副词的用法。
2、运用关系代词以及关系副词书写句子。
3、运用所学的定语从句写一篇文章,介绍一位诗人。
二、教学重点
引导学生运用所复习的定语从句的知识合理改写简单句,然后根据合理的叙事逻辑将句子重新排序,形成简洁、流畅的完整的文段。
三.教学难点
通过典型习题操练,巩固学生对新学的知识点的认识。
四.教学方法
1. 教师讲授,演示及启发;
2. 课堂练习巩固;小组讨论
五.教学工具
1、 教材;
2、多媒体课件。
六.课前预习内容
本节语法课的内容是复习定语从句,要求学生对定语从句的概念以及连接词进行复习。
七.教学过程
Step I. Review the grammar (1) (5分钟)
1. T introduces the aims of the lesson.
2. T guides Ss to identify the relative clauses in the passage in “Reading and Thinking”.
3. T guides Ss to review the situations where the relative pronoun “that” cannot be replaced by “which”, by focusing on the two selected sentences.
Step II. Review the grammar (2) (10分钟)
T guides Ss to combine simple sentences introducing a Chinese poet---Du Fu together by using relative pronouns and adverbs.
Ss compare the differences between relative pronouns and adverbs like “which” and “where” in the similar situations and then review some basic grammar rules.
Step III. Practising the grammar . (10分钟)
Ss do the blank-filling exercise adapted from Ex 2 on the textbook by using proper pronouns and adverbs.
Step IV. Practising the grammar . (10分钟)
Ss read the given sentences in Exercise One on the textbook and use relative pronouns and adverbs to connect sentences.
Ss discuss with partners about how to put the connected sentences into a correct order, making it a complete introduction to the poet Tagore and his poem collection the Crescent Moon.
T guides Ss to appreciate the advantages of using relative clauses in a passage like enhancing its coherence.
Step V Consolidating the grammar. (5分钟)
1. Ss read an introduction to Chinese poet Li Bai and find out the logical connection between the sentences.
2. Ss use relative pronouns and adverbs to combine sentences and make the passage more coherent and concise.
3. Ss read and appreciate an improved version of the passage.
Step VI . 本课小结(4分钟)
授课对象为高二学生。学生已经阅读过文章,故本节课的任务主要是通过讲解来分析与学习本单元的语法——复习定语从句,让学生在习题中分辨从句,进行练习。
