The （pie）chart[bar graph] shows the result of a citywide survey on factors that influence its residents' restaurant selection.
The data shows that specialty, chosen by more than 1/3 of respondents, is what residents care most about now. Expectation on great service is also high (26.8%), as well as better environment(24.2%). In contrast, It seems that price, with the proportion dropping to a mere 8%, is no longer customers primary concern.
These figures may reflect a great improvement in people's living standard and their higher demands for uniqueness. On the one hand, the abundance of food and increased income have significantly changed people attitude towards food. Eating is no longer simply a daily routine to fill an empty stomach, but can also be a type of enjoyment or part of ones social life. On the other hand, every line of business now places great emphasis on originality. This is also true to restaurants. The stress of competition urges them to be creative on menu items, and this in turn raises customers desire for specialty.
Therefore, if a restaurant wishes to attract more customers, it needs to introduce new and special dishes on a regular basis, exerts more effort on waiter training, and makes investment in enhancing the environment.

In your spoken English class, your teacher shows you the following picture. You are asked to describe the picture and explain how you understand it.
Some people look confident, but what they actually have in their head is far from enough.
As is shown in the picture, a half-empty bottle is going to stick a label of “full” on its body, feeling proud and confident.
The picture seems to be reflecting a kind of social phenomenon. We might often meet some people who look confident, trying to impress others with their “rich” knowledge. However, just like the bottle in the picture, what they really know is just a little. What they actually have in their head is far from enough. As an old saying goes, empty bottles make the loudest noise.
Therefore, it’s wise to enrich ourselves with knowledge and try to make our head full.
