2a时间8 m 3 谈论濒临灭绝的动物,为课文展开做铺垫。Check the animals you think are in great danger.

2b时间8 m 5 讲解单词,为2b课文阅读做铺垫。T: Look at Picture 1! This is an elephant from Thailand. The elephant is one of the country’s symbols. Look at Picture 2! This is Thailand’s flag today! But there was a white elephant on the first flag of Thailand because the white elephant is the symbol of good luck. 用图片提供语境,介绍泰国大象的背景知识,板书并教学生词symbol, flag。T: Do you like elephants Why S: Yes. Because they’re very smart.T: Elephants are very clever. They can walk a long time but not get lost. They remember places with food and water and never forget. 教师提问:Where do elephants live 出示forest图片,帮助学生回答:Forest full of trees. 并教学生词 forest。T: But people cut down the trees. 用图片和肢体语言教学短语cut down。T: And even worse, people kill elephants for their ivory. 12 通过游戏进一步掌握目标语。Look at your chart and write 9 words from the 3 circles. 教师发给每个学生一张如下纸片,学生从黑板上的三个主题中自由选取单词填入下表的九个空格中,Now I will read some sentences. When you hear the words in your paper, cross X.
