1953 – Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary were the first to reach the top.
1960 – The first Chinese team reached the top.
They reached the top of Qomolangma on May 25th,1960.
This was the first time to the world’s highest peak from the north slope in human history. They set out from the beginning of March 25th, it took them only two months to reach the top.
1975 – Junko Tabei from Japan was the first woman to reach the top.
Junko Tabei finally reached the summit on May 16, 1975, becoming
the first woman to do so at the age of 35. She was finally on the top
of the world and didn’t have to take another step.

My “Qomolangma” is that I can’t learn English well. Every English class is like a bad dream. The teacher speaks so quickly that I can’t understand her. What’s worse, I often make mistakes in grammar. That makes me unhappy.
However, my teachers and classmates always help me out. I decide to challenge myself in the face of difficulties. Firstly, I will try my best to listen to the teacher carefully. Secondly, I will take English notes in order to improve my grammar. Finally, it is necessary for me to ask the teacher for help even though I am a little shy.
All in all, I will never give up learning English no matter how hard it is. I believe I will succeed.
