人与自我续写范文欣赏1:The Girl with Freckles on Her FaceWhen I was a kid about twelve years old, I had a lot of freckles. I had reached the age when I had begun to really look at myself in the mirror, and I was underwhelmed. Apparently my mother was too, because sometimes she'd look at me and shake her head.
I had a cousin whose name was Janette Elizabeth. She looked exactly like her name sounds. She had a flawless peaches-and-cream complexion. I couldn't help comparing myself with her and thinking that my life would be a lot different if I had beautiful skin too.
And then, in the back pages of Janette Elizabeth's magazine, I found the answer: an advertisement for freckle-remover cream. I knew that I could afford it if I saved my money, and I did. The ad assured me that the product would work well. For three weeks I went to the mailbox every day precisely at the time the mail was delivered. I knew that if someone else in my family got the mail, I would never hear the end of it. There was no way that they would let me open the box in private.
Three weeks later, my package finally came. I went to my room with it, sat on the edge of my bed, and opened it. I was sure that I was looking at a miracle. When I got up the next morning, I applied the cream all over my body. Then I took my hoe and went with my brother and cousins to hoe the field, where I got rid of some tiger lilies, seemingly ugly with black and small spots.
The sun was so strong that even my faces started to burn. By the end of the day, when I came back to the house, my family, knowing nothing about the freckle-remover cream, began to say things like, “I've never seen you with that many freckles before." When I saw myself in the mirror, I dissolved into tears and hid in the bathroom.
Para 1: My mother called me to dinner table, but I ignored her. ________________________________Para 2:After what seemed a century, I heard a gentle knock on my bedroom’s door._____________________________
答案:When she came to the bathroom door and demanded that I come out and have a meal, I burst out of the door, tears streaming down my cheeks. Before she stopped me, I stormed into my room and slammed the door shut behind me. Looking into the mirror, I saw a girl with more and darker freckles on the face instead of peaches-and-cream complexion(白里透红的肤色). Only then did I realize that the cream had a reverse effect when wearing it in the sun. I threw myself down on the bed and sobbed.
Hesitating for a moment, with puffy(肿胀的) eyes and still wet cheeks, I shuffled(穿梭) across the room to open the door. At the door stood my mother and Janette with a big bunch of tiger lilies, which were covered with black spots but amazingly beautiful. I stared at them in stunned surprise, not knowing what to say. My mother held me in her warm embrace. “There are all kinds of flowers, and they are all unique in beauty and fragrance,”said she. Hearing this and smelling the enchanting odor(迷人的气味) of the tiger lilies, the freckles on my face seemed to have magically faded.
人与自我续写范文欣赏2:Outside the Box The Harvestfest contest was falling on Friday and everyone in school was talking about it. All the students would show up in their self-made costumes and a winner would be chosen by the principal. “Do you have your costume for the Harvestfest contest " Alice asked. "I'm going as a chocolate bar. My mom and I have been working on it all week.” “Yeah, I have a costume,” said Jordan Eastman, popping up the two front wheels of his wheelchair as he waited for his dad to pick him up. “But it's boring.” “Why What is it ” Alice asked. “MaxMag the superhero, but Danny, Tom and Izzy are all going as MaxMag too.” Jordan shook his head. “That's too many to stand a chance at winning the contest.” He waved to his dad, who had just pulled up in front of the school. Jordan rolled his wheelchair toward his dad, and Alice walked with him to the minivan(小货车). “Maybe you should go as something else.” “The contest is Friday night.” Jordan sighed. “It's too late to change costumes.” “Jordan, you have to think outside the box. Look around your house and see what you have. There's hidden potential in everyday items. "She took a sip of her drink, and told Jordan that her chocolate-bar costume was made from old fabric her mom had lying around and recycled plastics. On his way home, Jordan was quiet. He kept thinking about Alice's words: Think outside the box. There's hidden potential in everyday items. When he got home, he found his mum handling with some wooden pieces. She was putting a new desk together. On top of the desk was the huge empty cardboard box the pieces had come in. Mom smiled at Jordan, pointing at the desk, “What do you think ”
Para 1: Jordan's eyes fell on the box and he smiled, "It's perfect … with my wheelchair.”__________________________________________________________________Para 2: Soon it was Friday night, and Jordan couldn't wait to show his costume._______________________________________________________________________
答案:Jordan’s eyes fell on the box and he smiled, “It’s perfect…with my wheelchair.” Hearing what he said, mom asked with a puzzled look, “What do you mean ” Jordan explained the whole thing to mom. Mom clapped her hands in excitement and replied, “Let’s do it now!” They cut a hole on the top of the box, fixed it on the wheelchair and decorated it with the MaxMag costume.(动作描写)After what seemed like a century, they were too exhausted to move an inch. The wheelchair now looked like a moving MaxMag car. A glimmer of hope sparkling in Jordan’s eyes, he couldn’t help imagining standing on the stage(情绪描写).
Soon it was Friday night, and Jordan couldn’t wait to show his costume. Students took turns to show their self-made costumes. There were several MaxMags, and in front of Jordan was Alice’s chocolate bar(伏笔照应). Soon it was time for Jordan to stand on the stage. With his outstanding MaxMag car, everyone’s eyes were fixed on him. Excitement gave way to anxiety as Jordan sensed the complete silence. Suddenly, thunderous applause burst out from the audience. Jordan was no doubt the winner! Though he was sitting in the box now, he really thought outside the box! (主题呼应:跳出固定思维,能够创新思维)
