Charity Day and Pay it Forward Day were set up to encourage people to help others.
The video shows good deeds such as visiting an elderly neighbor, praise the good service of your waiter or waitress, helping a classmate with their studies, asking someone who looks lost if they need directions, and offering to help out with something in the home.
We should always be ready to help others, because one small act can make a big difference.

Bai Fangli, tricycle driver
Bai donated 350,000 yuan earned by riding tricycle and helped 300 poor students complete their studies. His good deeds lasted about 20 years until he was almost 90 years old. He was given the Touching China Special Award in 2011, six years after his death.
Florence Nightingale, founder of modern nursing
Nightingale resolved to become a nurse, a hardly respected profession at the time. She and her team provided supplies, cleanliness, individual care and support for the wounded. She was known as “the Lady with the Lamp” for carrying a lamp and checking on the soldiers at night. Nightingale’s work brought down the death rate from 40 percent to 2 percent and she continued to advocate for safe nursing practices until her death.
Red Adair, oil well firefighter
Adair specialized in oil-well blowout and fire control. He was regularly called in as a troubleshooter to deal with major oil fires on land and sea nationally as well as internationally.

Ryan’s charity work is not unusual. Many people donate money and others volunteer to help run charities. On most UK high streets, for example, you will often come across people raising money and looking for volunteers for Cancer Research UK, the British Heart Foundation, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution and many more. In China, volunteers are also playing an increasingly important role in environmental protection, disability assistance and many other fields.
