谋篇布局成文
构思成文时需要牢记的三个原则：
1.为他人做嫁衣
读后续写不需要情节多么有趣或动人，而是需要和已给出的材料逻辑相符；不是自圆其说，而是“圆材料所说”，并且让人感到自然，而不是突兀做作。

2.情节尽可能简洁
续写时不要拖泥带水，如：别人的安慰让“我”镇定下来，然后“我”耐心等待，不一会儿，救援人物出现了，“我”脱离了危险。核心情节总共就三句而已，中间无非就是情感的变化。
3.雕琢细节描写
读后续写对于考生的综合运用语言的能力要求很高。要想增强语言的张力和感染力，不仅要用词精准，使用丰富的语法结构，而且要通过动作、心理、环境等细节描写使表达更加准确到位、栩栩如生。

读后续写·专题训练“理清文章脉络”中的2020年全国新高考Ⅰ卷试题布局思路：
续写第一段的段首语提到Mrs. Meredith也同意John的主意，那接下来就会涉及把计划告诉Bernard一家、Bernard一家会有什么反应以及如何制作爆米花。
续写第二段的段首语提到Bernard开始他的新生意，接下来就涉及把爆米花卖给谁、别人对Bernard的反应以及Bernard的感受。（new business指的不一定是卖爆米花，不同的学生有不同的思路）
