Grammar(第四课时)
关系词有关系代词(that、which、who、whom、whose等)和关系副词(where、when、why)之分。例如:
We like musicians who can write their own songs.
The boys who are playing football are from Class 2.
The girl (who)I met at the party yesterday was Linda.
The tomato is a vegetable which is good for health.
This is the pen (which)he bought yesterday.
Daniel was the first man that reached the top of the mountain.
The fish soup (that)you cooked is delicious.
This is the businessman who comes from London.
The hotel room in which we lived was both clean and comfortable.
Mr. Green is the teacher about whom they are talking.
He has a friend whose father is a doctor.
I’d like the room whose window faces the sea.
Is there anything that I can do for you 我可以为你做些什么事吗?
②当先行词被the only、the very、the same、the last、all、little、few、much等词修饰时。例如:
I lost all the money that my father had given me.
The first magazine that I read was Readers.
Betty likes to take photos of the things and people that she is interested in.
Which is the present that you bought for me 哪一份是你给我买的礼物?
It is not the village that it used to be.
①当主句是there be句型时,用关系代词who。例如:
There is a boy who is lying under the tree.
②先行词是someone、anyone、everyone、one、those等词时,用关系代词who。例如:
She is the one who got lost in the forest last week.
Who is the man that is walking in the rain

Being safe in your everyday life needs knowledge(知识). If you remember the following information, your life will be much safer.
◇Always notice the environment around you. You shouldn’t walk alone outside. Make sure where the public phones are. If anything dangerous happens, you can find them easily.
◇Your bag should be carried towards the front of your body instead of putting on your back. When a bus is full of people, it is easy enough for a thief to take away the things in the bag on your back.
◇If you are followed by someone you don’t know, cross the street and go to the other way, let the person understand that you know he or she is after you. Next, don’t go home at once. You are safer in the street than you are alone in your home or in a lift.
◇If you have to take a bus to a place far away, try to get to the stop a few minutes earlier before the bus leaves. This stops other people from studying you. On the bus, don’t sit alone. Sit behind the driver or with other people. Don’t sleep.

At about ten last night, my father and I left my grandma’s house and were on the way back home. Suddenly we heard someone crying for help from behind. I turned around and saw two men with masks. One of them was tall and the other was short. They were robbing a young woman at the street corner. The woman wore a gold necklace and a gold watch. She put up a good fight with them. My father and I ran towards them, but when we arrived, the two robbers had run away in different directions. They robbed the woman of her gold watch. Luckily, the woman wasn’t hurt.

关系词有关系代词(that、which、who、whom、whose等)和关系副词(where、when、why)之分。
