Unit 2 There were few doctors, so he had to work very hard
【教材分析】本模块以“英雄”为话题,学生可以了解到英雄人物不屈不挠、意志坚定、勤奋刻苦的高贵品质。第二单元主要介绍了国际共产主义战士—— 诺曼.白求恩的伟大事迹,属于人物传记类的文章。这类文章通常是按照时间顺序来讲述人物的生平,故事性强,内容较易理解,学生也必较感兴趣。通过学习白求恩大夫的生平事迹,让学生感受到白求恩舍己为人、无私奉献、忘我工作的精神。在教学过程中,只要把握住时间这条脉络去引导学生阅读文章,通过文章的阅读和学习,让学生学会怎样去描述自己心目中的英雄,为写作打基础。
【学情分析】九年级学生思维活跃,有一定的语言知识积累,竞争意识,合作意识比较强,自主学习的能力较以往有较大提高。但学生阅读过程中缺少阅读策略,信息收集整理以及写作输出的能力有待提高。阅读过程中讲授阅读策略,帮助学生寻找归纳信息,并指导写作模式的构建。
【学习目标】
1.知识目标:
(1)能正确使用下列单词和词组:
sick, soldier, treat, die for…,take care of, tool, at that time, useful, die of…,Canada, invention
(2)能掌握有 so, so that和because引导的状语从句。
2.能力目标:能够读懂人物事迹的文章,掌握文章大意及细节,能运用文章的结构和写法来介绍心目中的英雄人物。
3.情感目标:通过学习白求恩大夫的生平事迹,让学生感受到白求恩舍己为人、无私奉献、忘我工作的精神,并在实际生活中努力践行这种精神。

一、Warming-up 操作方式:让学生说出自己心目中的英雄,做简单介绍。

设计意图:为引出本单元所要谈论的英雄白求恩做出铺垫。
二、While-reading

操作方式:初步阅读文章,给出6个句子排序,使学生总结出本语篇按时间顺序为线索。

设计意图:从自身做起,从小事做起,每个人都是英雄,达到情感的升华。
六、 Homework

七、教学反思
本节课是一节阅读课,通过对学生阅读技巧的指导,理解有关英雄人物白求恩的有关事迹。
亮点:1 在教学中首先通过谈论自己心目中的英雄导入本课,一些有关白求恩的图片吸引了学生的注意力,激发了学生的兴趣。2 通过小组合作探究学习解决阅读问题。3 教师驾驭教材的能力强,分析整合教材,并且善于运用激励性语言鼓励学生。
不足:教师上课表情过于严厉。
总之,本节课从学生的反应情况上看,比较成功,学生对语言知识的掌握比较透彻,语言操练达到预设目标并有所提升,学生的爱国情操得到体现和升华。
