句子翻译：

一、定义：宾语是句子的从句叫做宾语从句。

宾语从句三要素: 1). 引导词； 2). 宾语从句的语序； 3). 宾语从句的时态。

二、宾语从句的连接词
引导词 引导词的作用 例句
that 本身无意义，只起连接作用，口语中可省略 He said (that) his sister was good at cooking.
what，which，who， whose，whom等 在从句中作一定的成分，如主语、宾语、定语等 I don’t know what you are going to do. Jerry asked me whose schoolbag it was. She asked who would like to go.
when (表时间)， where (表地点) why (表原因)， how (表方式) 等连接副词 在从句中作状语 Could you tell me where you went last Friday Do you know how we can find his new home I wonder why he won’t come here tomorrow.
if / whether 意为“是否”，不作句子成分，但不能省略 He asked me if / whether Leo was a lawyer. I wonder whether he likes maths or not.

（1）that引导的宾语从句
可跟that从句做宾语的动词有：
say, think, insist, wish, hope, demand, imagine, wonder, know, suppose, see, believe, agree等
例句：The boy believes that he will travel through space to other planets.
（2）if和whether引导的宾语从句表示“是否”
He asked me if/whether I enjoyed myself at the party.
I wonder if/whether he is a driver.
一般情况下whether和if可以互换，但在某些情况下，只能用whether
①只能用if的情况
1. 在构成whether or not结构时，只用whether I don’t know whether or not he will come.
2. 在介词之后的宾语从句 I depends on whether it will be fine.
3. 在带to的不定式前 We should decide whether to walk there.
4. 含有宾语从句的复合句同时又包含if引导的条件句时 He asked me whether I’d move to New York if I got the job.
5. 宾语从句提前时 Whether this is true or not, I can’t say.
②只能用if不能用whether引导的宾语从句
1.if引导否定概念的宾语从句时
He asked if I didn’t come to school yesterday.
2.if引导条件状语从句，意为“如果”
The students will go on a picnic if it is sunny.

三、语序：宾语从句的语序必须是陈述语序，即“主句+引导词+宾语从句（主语+谓语+其他）”。特别强调：它的主语和谓语的语序是陈述语序，而不是疑问句的倒装结构。

四、时态
1.主过从过：主句是过去时态，从句须用过去时态的某种形式。
例句：She was sorry that she hadn’t finished her work on time.
【注意】：
Could you tell me…表示用来征求对方的意见，语气委婉，并不表示过去式。
例句：Could you tell me when he will visit the Great wall
2.主一般，从不定：主句是一般现在时，从句根据实际情况使用任何时态。
例句：The headmaster hopes everything goes well.
My father told me that he will go to Hong Kong next weekend.
3.从句客观真理，永—现：当宾语从句表示的是一个客观真理或者事实时，即使主句是过去时，从句也用一般现在时态。
例句：The teacher told his class that light travels faster than sound.
I learned from the book that the earth goes around the sun.
4. 从句中有具体时间状语，即使从句动作发生，在主句动作前，仍用一般过去时。
The teacher told me she was born in 1960.
I heard that he went to Paris last night.

五、宾语从句与简单句的转换
1．如果从句的主语与主句的主语是“同一个人”时，可以用“疑问词+不定式”的结构转换。
例句：I don’t know what I should do next. = I don’t know what to do next.
He didn’t know where he would live. = He didn’t know where to live .

六、宾语从句的否定转移
当主句的主语是第一人称(I/we)
主句的谓语动词是think/believe/suppose/consider从句的否定词一般要转移到主句上来
即主句的谓语动词用否定形式，而宾语从句的谓语动词用肯定形式
I don't think he will come to my party.(V)
I think he won't come to my party. (x)
我认为他不会来我的派对. (翻译成中文时,否定要后移)
