当看到时间是“表示过去的时间词组”时就用“一般过去时”
意义：表示过去发生的动作或存在的状态。
A. Regular verbs规则动词:
1. 动词原形+ed
e.g. play→played clean→cleaned visit→visited stay→stayed practice→practiced ask→asked watch→watched
2. 以e结尾的+d
e.g. live→lived dance→danced
3. 辅音字母+y结尾，变y为i+ed
e.g. study→studied try→tried carry→carried
4. 重读闭音节结尾,且末尾只有一个辅音字母的动词，双写尾字母再加ed (两辅夹一元)

B. Irregular verbs: 不规则动词
一般过去时的运用(Ⅰ)
1．一般过去时的基本定义
一般过去时是表示在过去某一时间发生的动作或存在的状态，也可以表示在过去某一阶段经常、反复做的动作。
2．与一般过去时连用的时间状语有：
yesterday(昨天)，last week/month/year上周/上个月/去年，two days/months ago两天/两个月前，the day before yesterday(前天)，in 2000(在2000年)，in those days(在那些日子里)，just now(刚才)，a moment ago(刚才)等。
3．一般过去时的谓语结构表达
(1)be动词＋表语谓语结构。这一结构中be动词需用它的过去式was或were。当句子主语为第一人称代词“I”和第三人称单数形式时用was，其余人称则用were。
(2)一般动词谓语结构。一般过去时的句子谓语如果用到一般动词，主要是实义动词的过去式，则实义动词的过去式无主语人称和数的变化。eg：
Mary's mother was in England two years ago.
Mr.Wang bought an English Chinese dictionary last week.
4．不同种类的一般过去时句子的谓语结构运用
(1)一般过去时的句子具体包括肯定句、否定句、疑
问句等，在不同种类句子中，谓语结构的表达有所不同，现将这方面的知识归纳如下表：
