Today is 5th March. Our teacher took us volunteers to Tianjin Nursing Home. As soon as we volunteers got to Tianjin Nursing Home, they gave us a warm welcome. We brought some flowers and fruits to the elderly people. We cleaned the windows and swept the floor for them. Then we sang and danced. How happy we were! After that, we sat together chatting with each other and gave our best wishes to them. The elderly people were very excited. We also had dinner together. When it was time for us volunteers to leave, they were thankful for our kindness.
This activity not only makes the elderly people happy but also lets us learn more. For example, we feel it our duty to care for the elderly people and respect them.
I hope more people can join us.

People are caring about environment around us. It’s our duty to protect environment.
Last summer, I joined the Green Planet Club to do something meaningful. I got up very early to hand out leaflets and told people the importance of living a green life. Besides, I taught people how to separate waste in communities and helped clean up parks and streets. At first, I found it hard to get up early. It was very tiring, but I did it for one month. I got a thank-you letter from the community in the end.
I feel proud because I can offer help. What’s more, I am also thankful to the people who have helped me.
