第42讲 完形填空
专题概述
完形填空考查考生在阅读理解的基础上对词汇、语法等知识的掌握
情况。这类题要求考生通读全文,掌握文章大意,运用词汇、语法等知
识,选择最佳答案,使文章意思通顺,结构完整。记叙型完形填空是考
查的重点。近年来记叙型完形填空的趋势主要有以下几种情况:
1.首句完整,线索清楚。
文章一般在第一句话就交代了人物的姓名、身份或事件发生的时间、
地点,然后再介绍事件的发生、发展,最后得出结果。
2.叙述灵活,侧重语境。
文章以叙述为主,有时会插入人物间的对话。因此,常会出现态度
与观点的跳跃变换,或语气上的差异。这增加了情景的迷惑性和干扰性,
从而突出了答题对语境的依赖,要求考生在理解上下文的基础上,通过
语境,辨析词语,做出选择。
3.实词为主,虚词为辅。
记叙型完形填空所选文章的篇幅不长,一般在200~260词,始终紧
扣话题中心,形成一个主题连续体。选项一般为同一词类或同一范畴,
重点集中于动词、名词、形容词或副词等实词上,介词、连词、冠词等
虚词的考查相对少一些。实词为主,虚词为辅,更能体现在语境中考查
英语运用能力这一思路。

2. 读首句尾句,把握文章的脉络与线索。
3. 抓住关键词,根据上下文解题。
要善于发现在文章中起重要作用的关键词语,如:表示转折或对比
关系的词有but, (al)though, instead, however, yet, otherwise
等;表示结果、层级的词有firstly, secondly, thirdly, finally等;表
示逻辑关系的词有even, thus, therefore, so等。这些词语能帮我们
准确了解特定语境以及语篇的内在关系,为我们判断究竟该选用哪个词
提供依据。
4. 具体分析,逐步填空。
“瞻前顾后”,即答题时要回顾上一句,兼顾下一句。
5. 读全文,验证答案。
验证答案时,不可孤立地逐词检查,而必须将所有填入的词代入文
章中,复读全文,仔细检查所填词是否符合文章的情景内容,读起来是
否流畅,是否合乎句法或语境,有无违背常识,有无上下文矛盾,要反
复推敲,确保无误。
