The order of dishes in the West
Dinner start with a small dish, which is often called an a starter .After the starter you will get a bowl of soup.The next dish is the main course,it usually is a beefsteak . A vegetable salad will be served.Then a delicious dessert will appear at the table .At last is a cup of tea or coffee.
The order of dishes in China
The meal usually begins with a set of at least four cold dishes, to be followed by the main courses of hot meat and vegetable dishes. Soup then will be served to be followed by staple food ranging from rice, noodles to dumplings. If you wish to have your rice to go with other dishes, you should say so in good time, for most of the Chinese choose to have the staple food at last or have none of them at all.
Table manners
1 如果您不喜欢递过来的菜肴时,只要说“No, thank you.”即可。
1 If you don't like the food which is sending by host, just say "no, thank you."
2 咀嚼食物,一定要避免出声。
2 We shouldn’t make a noisy when we eat food.
3 男女一起在餐馆用餐,通常由男方负责点菜(order)和付帐(pay the check or bill)。

1、叉子(forks)放在主菜盘(main plate)左侧,刀子(knives)、汤匙(spoons)摆在右侧。

学材分析 本节课教师可以充分利用实物教学,可以提前让学生带一些餐具来。本节课重点是让学生听懂会说一些简单的表示餐具的词,并学会简单询问要的食物。这也是本节课的难点。主要采取师生、生生互相合作,学生在愉快的学习氛围中习得和学得。
学生分析 学生利用真实的物品,学习热情比较高,情绪比较高昂。可通过学生的兴趣与积极性,营造学习氛围。

一、热身/复习(Warm-up/Revision)1、复习本单元学过的食品单词教师利用PPT出示单词,学生抢答。Guess: “What’s this ”(教师将手中的卡片背对学生,学生猜)2、Pair work: What would you like for… 老师说:“I would like ….”, 学生回答,老师示范后,小组练习。二、呈现新课 (Presentation)1、自主学习,看微视频,跟读单词和句型。2、教师利用PPT检测学生掌握情况,教师将几种食物(soup、beef、noodles)的PPT呈现,把几样餐具贴在一侧,对学生说:“It’s time to lunch, I want to eat some beef, how can I eat it ?Can you help me ”学生提示教师使用刀叉,引出单词knife fork,(教师将knife fork的单词卡贴beef下)教师带读几遍单词。边做边说:“Pass me the bowl. Use the fork. I can use the fork . Cut the vegetables.”鼓励学生一起做一做,说一说。3、教师说:“Here is some noodles, how can I eat it ?”引出单词chopsticks.然后教师把读音分解教学。边做边说:“Use the chopsticks.. I can use the chopsticks. ”鼓励学生一起做、说。4、教师说:“The soup is delicious. How can I drink it ”引出单词spoon.教师带读几遍单词边做边说:“ Use the spoon. ”鼓励学生一起做,说。5、Let’s do together. 教师播放Let’s do部分的课件,学生模仿练习。6、Look and match.教师出示图片, 孩子快速指出单词。7、出示let’s learn部分课件,问学生:“Where is it What can you see Who can you see ”鼓励大部分孩子参与回答。合作学习:教师说:“What would you like for dinner Chinese food or English food ”“I like English food.”“What’s this ” “It’s beef. ” “Mm…Yummy. How can I eat it ” “Cut with the knife. Use the fork.” “Who can do it ” (教师拿出真实的餐具,让孩子试试)帮助孩子说:“ Let me try.”,请孩子来边试边说。当孩子们理解了以上的句子,教师带着孩子们边演边说:“Mm…Yummy. I like beef. I can use chopsticks.”让孩子在小组中边演边说。出示课件,让孩子观看故事。跟读模仿句子。分角色跟读练习。当孩子练习几次后,分角色给课件配音。小组表演故事。(三)扩展性活动(Add-activities)“共进晚餐”教师将学生分成四人一小组,桌上摆好食物和餐具的卡片。学生运用句型:What would you like for dinner I can----做对话练习。
