Unit 9 Can you come to my party
1.Can you come to my party
Can you come to my party on Saturday afternoon
Section A (第一、二课时)
All right. / Certainly. / Of course.”或“Yes, I can. ”。例如:
—Can you give me a hand
—Certainly. / Yes, I can.
②拒绝邀请时,可以用“I’m sorry, I can’t. I have to…/ I’d love to, but I must…”
—Can you play basketball with me after school
—Sorry, I can’t. I have to prepare for an exam.
—Could you do me a favor
—Certainly.
—Is that man Mr. Green
—No, it can’t be him. He has been away for a week.
2.Jenny, can you come to my party on Saturday afternoon
在英语中,表示时间时常用到介词at,on,in。
He usually gets up at half past seven on weekends.
Let’s go camping on Sunday.
They usually have a big lunch on New Year’s Day.
I’ll arrive on the morning of September 16. Please come to meet me.
Chang’e-5 landed on the moon on the night of December 1, 2020.
The leaves turn yellow in autumn.
What important days are there in October 10
I was born in 1992.
in the morning 在早上
in the afternoon 在下午
in the evening 在晚上
at night 在夜里
at noon 在中午
3.have the flu
I catch a cold and need to see a doctor right now.
I can’t go to work because I have the flu.
4.I’m not available.
The swimming pool is available only in summer.
I’m sorry. The service isn’t available here.
Are you free tomorrow =Are you available tomorrow
When will you be available
5.Oh, but Sam isn’t leaving until next Wednesday.
Please wait until I arrive.
He stayed here until I came back.
Tom didn’t go to bed until his father came back.
I didn’t watch TV until I finished my homework.
Not until the teacher came in did the students stop talking.
Not until we finished our work did he come.
6.I’m glad to accept the birthday present from you.
She was very glad to accept the
invitation.
She received his present, but she
didn’t accept it.
She was warmly received.
