1.If you go to the party, you’ll have a great time. 如果你参加宴会,你会玩得很痛快。
(1)if引导的条件状语从句。
①定义:条件状语从句表示主句动作发生的条件,常由if(如果)引导,表示假如有从句的动作发生就会有主句的动作发生。例如:
If you take the high-speed train, you can get there much earlier.
如果你坐高铁去,你会到得更早。
Section A (第一、二课时)
②时态:如果主句是一般将来时,从句要用一般现在时。例如:
I won’t go there with you if it rains tomorrow. 如果明天下雨的话,我就不和你一起去那儿了。
③主从句的位置:从句通常可以位于主句之前,也可以位于主句之后。不过从句在前时,主从句之间必须用逗号隔开。例如:
Please tell me if he comes back. = If he comes back, please tell me.
如果他回来了,请告诉我一声。
④含条件状语从句的主从复合句通常可以变为“祈使句 + and / or + 简单句”。其中and表示句意顺承; or则表示转折,意为“否则”。例如:
If you work harder, you’ll pass the exam. = Work harder, and you’ll pass the exam. 如果你再努力些,你就会通过考试。
If you don’t hurry up, you’ll miss the train. = Hurry up, or you’ll miss the train.
如果你不快点儿,你就赶不上火车了。
(2)have a great time意为“玩得愉快”,相当于have a good time, enjoy oneself。例如:
Did you have a great time last weekend
上周末你玩得愉快吗?

在含有条件状语从句的复合句中,如果主句是将来时,一般不用be going to而要用will。例如:

3.Half the class won’t come.
一半的同学都将不会来的。
(1)表示某物的一半,一般用“half + a / an + 单数名词”形式。例如:
half a year半年 half a month 半月
half an hour半小时
(2)class在句中是集体名词,意为“学生”,与family,people等词的用法一样。需要注意的是:集体名词作主语时,谓语动词既可以是单数形式,也可以是复数形式。当这一名词被看作是一个整体时,谓语动词用单数; 当强调整体中的成员时,用复数形式。例如:
My family are having lunch at the table.
我家人正坐在饭桌旁吃午饭。
His family has two cars. 他家有两辆汽车。
4.Can you give me some advice
你能给我一点建议吗?
advice的用法。
(1)advice 意为“建议”,是不可数名词,表示“一条建议 / 许多建议”应该说a piece of advice / much (a lot of) advice。常用短语:ask sb. for advice“向某人征求意见”,give sb. advice on (how to do) sth.“就(怎样做)某事向某人提建议”。例如:
Doctor Zhong gave several pieces of advice on how to prevent the disease. 关于怎样预防这种疾病,钟医生提出了几点建议。
You can ask your teacher for advice.
你可以向你的老师征求意见。
(2)advise是动词,意为“劝告,建议”。可以构成短语:advise sb. to do sth. “建议某人做某事”。例如:
I advise you to run 30 minutes every evening. 我建议你每天晚上跑步30分钟。

1.If people have problems, they should keep them to themselves. 如果人们有麻烦的话,他们应该把这些烦恼留给自己。
(1)should 的用法。
should为情态动词,与动词原形连用,表示“应该,应当”,常用来表示建议或命令等。 should和can,may,must一样,没有人称和数的变化,不能单独作谓语,必须和后面的动词原形一起构成谓语。我们在使用时要注意以下几点:
①用于表示“应该”或“不应该”的概念。此时常指长辈教导或责备晚辈。例如:
You should be here with clean hands.
你应该把手洗干净了再来。
②用于提出意见或劝导别人。例如:
You should go to the doctor if you feel ill. 如果你感觉不舒服,你最好去看医生。
③用于表示可能性。should的这一用法是考试中常常出现的考点之一。例如:
We should arrive by supper time.
我们在晚饭前就能到了。
She should be here any moment.
她随时都可能来。
(2)keep to oneself 意为“保守秘密”,其中的oneself应和句子的主语保持一致,也就是主语的反身代词。例如:
Don’t tell the news to others. Keep it to yourself. 不要把这个消息告诉别人。要保守秘密。
2.Unless we talk to someone, we’ll certainly feel worse. 如果不把这些烦恼讲给别人听,我们会更难受。
(1)unless是连词,意为“如果不……,除非”,引导条件状语从句,相当于“if…not…”,通常放在主句之后,若为加强语气,也可放在主句之前。例如:
I will not go and play unless I finish my homework. 如果没有完成作业,我就不去玩。
Unless it rains, we shall work on the farm. 如果不下雨,我们将在农场劳动。
(2)certainly是副词,意为“当然,肯定”。一般用在be动词、情态动词之后,行为动词之前。certainly也可以单独使用,用在答语中表示“当然可以,没有问题”,与sure,of course可以互换。例如:
You can certainly afford a car now.
你现在肯定能买得起一辆汽车。

3.In the end, she talked to her parents and they were really understanding. 最后,她还是和父母说了这事,他们真地很善解人意。
(1)in the end意为“最后,终于”,相当于at last或finally,单独使用时在句中作状语,可置于句首或句末。例如:
In the end, our class won the football match. 最终,我们班赢了这场足球赛。
He found out the secret in the end.
他终于找到了秘诀。
(2)understanding 作形容词时,意为“善解人意的”; 作名词时,意为“理解”。例如:
Everyone likes her because she is understanding.
人人都喜欢她,因为她善解人意。

4.Her dad said he sometimes made careless mistakes himself.

(1)careless 意为“粗心的”,其反义词是careful,意为“细心的”。例如:
Mary is so careless that she often forgets to take her homework to school.
玛丽太粗心了,她经常上学忘带作业本。
Kate is a careful girl. She often does her homework very well. 凯特是个细心的女孩。她作业总是做得很好。
(2)make a mistake 意为“犯错误”。例如:
He made lots of mistakes and didn’t pass the exam last week. 他在上周的考试中出了很多差错,没考及格。
5.Students often forget that their parents have more experience. 学生们总是忘记了一点,那就是他们的父母比他们更有经验。
experience的用法。
(1)作名词,意为“经验”,是不可数名词。例如:
As an old teacher, she has lots of experience in solving this kind of problem.
作为一名老教师,她有着处理这种问题的丰富的经验。
(2)作名词,意为“经历”,是可数名词。例如:
They have traveled to many countries these years. These are very interesting experiences for them.

else意为“其他的”, else通常放在疑问副词或疑问代词的后面。例如:

7.If I tell my parents, they will be angry.

(1)be angry with意为“对……生气”,后面通常接表示人的名词或代词。例如:

(2)如果后接表示人以外的名词或代词时,通常用短语 be angry at / about。例如:
